South Lincolnshire Academies Trust has over 550 teaching and support staff working in the four schools (Bourne Academy, Spalding Academy, Giles Academy and Cowley Academy) that make up our highly successful Trust. South Lincolnshire Academies Trust is seeking to appoint calm, committed and resilient Inclusion Learning Mentors to join our Pastoral and Inclusion team.

You will be primarily based in our Inclusion Room, providing administrative support and working with students who are temporarily out of lessons. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the daily operation of the Inclusion Room, ensuring it is calm, structured and purposeful;
  • Facilitating reflection on behaviour and supporting students to identify strategies for improvement;
  • Working closely with the Inclusion Manager, SENCO, Pastoral team and Teaching staff to contribute to support plans, student review meetings and ensuring students receive targeted intervention programmes.

Experience required:

  • Experience working with young people (Essential);
  • Commitment to inclusion and supporting vulnerable students (Essential);
  • Experience in a school, SEND or SEMH setting (Desirable);
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2/3 (Desirable).
