South Lincolnshire Academies Trust is seeking to appoint a Medical First Aider/Pastoral Admin Support to join the team at Cowley Academy. Responsible for supporting the day-to-day medical needs of our students and supporting the pastoral team with administration, you will be an integral part of the team.
The suitable candidate will:
- Be the main First Aid contact in school, overseeing the care of students who are unwell or injured;
- Be confident in deciding on appropriate medical course of action and implement that action;
- Be able to support students with specific medical conditions;
- Manage the Medical Room, First Aid equipment, wheelchairs and order necessary kits;
- Have knowledge of specific medical conditions such as diabetes and allergies and the handling of prescribed drugs from a Doctor for students. Full training will be provided;
- Be able to use a computer with confidence including software such as Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Be self-motivated, quick thinking and highly organised;
- Provide pastoral administration support;
- Possess effective time management skills in order to meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail;
- Be an effective and confident communicator via different means such as telephone and email;
- Administration experience would be desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
