South Lanarkshire Council are recruiting to the role of Community Justice Co-ordinator within Justice Social Work Service. Our Community Justice Partnership is focused on increasing early and effective interventions to prevent offending through strong leadership and collaboration and evidencing improved outcomes and their impact.

This unique role would be suited to an individual with a background in Justice Services, Social Work, Police or other public protection statutory or voluntary services. Key functions of this post are to support the Community Justice Partner’s in the planning, development and implementation of our Community Justice priorities. You will work alongside our Performance and Planning service to support the production and presentation of data to assist identifying key areas of focus for the partnership to progress the National Strategy for Community Justice’s aims and priorities.

The role has a strong focus on assisting a wide range of organisations to contribute and strengthen local and national partnership arrangements to ensure effective strategic planning and delivery of our Community Justice Outcome Plan and key deliverable outcomes. Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills are essential to this post, as is a strong motivation to support South Lanarkshire’s Community Justice Partnership’s ambitions for a safe and prosperous community where people can thrive.

You should have a current knowledge of the justice system, its national policies, drivers to reduce reoffending and the importance of engagement with victims of crime and those with lived and living experience to effect meaningful change.
