Hours: 20hrs per week, permanent Monday - Friday 10am - 2pm

We have an exciting clerical opportunity to join our South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership, Performance and Support Services team. This post is peripatetic, and although you will be based within East Kilbride local office, Civic Centre, East Kilbride, you will be operating across the six children’s houses within the South Lanarkshire area.

As a Clerical Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the Unit Managers and care staff within the houses across the South Lanarkshire area, where our operational staff provide a safe and secure home environment for the children and young people in our care.

Tasks of this role will include:

  • Undertaking electronic ordering and receipting duties
  • Providing a word processing service
  • Maintaining spreadsheets
  • Arranging meetings using the MS Office Outlook facility
  • Processing annual archiving
  • Maintaining an inventory of all equipment within establishments
  • Providing a general minute taking and distribution service
  • Other administration tasks to support our colleagues

We would welcome applications from people who have an excellent knowledge of IT packages and who would be flexible in their approach to their work location, given the peripatetic nature of the role. The ability to drive is desirable, and access to a South Lanarkshire pool car can be arranged.
