Work Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8am to 3.30pm

Housing & Technical Resources requires a Sheltered Housing Officer to join their dedicated pool team. This post is peripatetic and you may be required to travel within South Lanarkshire.
You will have experience of working with the elderly or other special needs client groups. Previous experience of working in a sheltered housing complex would be desirable along with an SVQ in Social Care or similar qualification. You should demonstrate an ability to organise and prioritise workload in an effective way and have the ability to respond and adapt to changing priorities required in delivering a quality service. You should also demonstrate excellent communication skills and have the ability to liaise effectively with a variety of agencies.
Your duties will include:
- Administration of paperwork
- Maintenance of tenant’s records
- Liaising with various agencies
- Complying with the requirements of the Councils Health and Safety Policy within the complex
The Council is committed to improving the skills and competence of our housing staff. As part of your duties, you will be required to undertake further training and/or qualifications, including those introduced by the Scottish Social Services Council for employees working in the housing support sector.
