We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our South Lanarkshire Justice Service management team and we are seeking to recruit a full-time team leader for our Unpaid Work Service. The position will be for a temporary 12-month period, however, there may be the opportunity for extension.
The unpaid work team leader is responsible for the management of a Justice Social Work team containing both qualified Social Work staff and paraprofessionals. The team leader requires to fulfil managerial tasks including but not limited to the supervision of staff; allocation of work; quality control and improvement; and the chairing of multi-agency meetings.
The successful candidate will be asked to contribute to the continuous development and improvement of Justice Social Work services and to ensure the effective delivery of Justice Social Work services to national and local standards for the benefit of service users and the wider community.
Ideally candidates should have experience of social work management, but there would be support and training provided for any experienced qualified social worker who may be looking to take their first steps into a managerial role.
Applicants should have experience or interest in leading and managing services, staff leadership and development, supporting people in conflict with the law and have an ability to work well as part of a busy team. Applicants will be asked to manage a budget, analyse data and provide reports and feedback to senior managers.
