Hours: 35 hours per week
Work Pattern: Working 5 days over 7, with 3 out of 4 Saturdays and 1 out of 4 Sundays
Salary: £28,358 - £28,577 annual salary
An opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to be part of our Parking team responsible for the Council's on and off-street parking enforcement, undertaking patrols and issuing penalty charge notices to those vehicles found to be parked in contravention of Traffic Regulation Orders.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A good basic level of education and be able to read, understand and follow policies and procedures
- Experience of working in a customer-based environment
- A good understanding of smart phones and how they operate
- A knowledge and understanding of personal health and safety requirements
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to remain composed in difficult and conflicting situations
- Customer focus with the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- The ability to work outside in all weathers and cope with the physical and emotional demands of the job
- A current driving licence is essential
You will be required to travel to various locations within South Lanarkshire in the vehicle provided and patrol on foot a designated area throughout.
Overseas Criminal Records Check is required where applicants born outside the UK or who have lived or worked outside the UK for a continuous period of twelve months in the past 10 years.
