An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone who has excellent customer care and communication skills. The role of Housing Assistant undertakes a wide range of clerical duties including word processing, filing and photocopying and has the added advantage of working within a busy locality housing office, supporting Housing Officers and providing advice to tenants and customers, making a direct impact to the local community and our service users.
You will be required to demonstrate the ability to organise and prioritise your workload, respond to changing priorities and contribute effectively to team goals and projects, as well as demonstrating the necessary skills to use all relevant IT systems and software applications, in particular having a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Due to the post being in a front line service, the successful candidate should demonstrate a commitment to the principles of customer care along with effective communication and interpersonal skills. Due to the nature of the post, it requires a high level of confidentiality.
The post of Housing Assistant brings upon opportunities for someone to gain skills and experience in a front line and diverse housing environment and also gives opportunities to progress your career within Housing Services. The role has a variety of responsibilities which bring job satisfaction.
