Hours: 35 hours per week, Permanent
Work Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8.45am - 4.45pm, Friday 8.45am - 4.15pm
Salary: £29,326 - £38,779 per year
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Secretary within Housing & Technical Resources, supporting the Executive Director. You will be required to provide a confidential and comprehensive administrative, secretarial and liaison service including undertaking specialist highly complex administration duties in support of the Executive Director.
Applicants should have excellent IT skills and be able to demonstrate sound communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to deal with matters in a discreet and confidential manner and should be competent at planning and organising.
Duties will include:
- Undertaking a full range of administrative functions, including minute taking on behalf of the Executive Director.
- Responsible for the preparation of reports, papers and correspondence adhering to procedures, processes, and timescales.
- Assist the Executive Director with time management replying to routine correspondence and filtering / redirecting calls and correspondence to appropriate personnel.
- To organise and manage Executive Director's diary, make appointments, organise meetings and any associated travel and accommodation arrangements providing regular updates.
- Undertake the final drafting of appropriate papers and provide a full secretarial and administrative service to the Executive Director.
- Manage and maintain filing systems, recording and organise stationery and hospitality supplies.
- Liaise with elected members, chief officials, internal and external customers, stakeholders, and public bodies to ensure the effective provision of the service.
