Vacancies within Secondary Schools for August 2026 (Permanent and Temporary Positions). It is South Lanarkshire Council’s mission to make positive meaningful changes in the lives of young people. You will assist in the delivery of the curriculum and contribute to whole school initiatives, as appropriate, with our aim of high-quality learning and teaching at the core of our education provision. Church Approval: Should you be successful in securing a post within a Roman Catholic school, you will be required to submit your diocese approval immediately to personnel service, to allow your recruitment checks to be carried out. Motherwell Diocese have agreed you can apply for this now at the application stage, asking for approval within any Roman Catholic primary/secondary school in South Lanarkshire. You will be required to bring your diocese approval with you to interview for the panel to review, so please begin the process of requesting this now. This approval will then be updated in partnership with the Diocese should you be successful in securing a post. Advice on approvals can be found on the Scottish Catholic Education Service website.
