Role Overview
Housing and Technical Resources seek to recruit a Stores Assistant to join the team. Your primary role will involve issuing and returning plant equipment to and from the plant workshop, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately, completing legislative compliance checks, maintaining inventory records, conducting regular audits, general housekeeping duties, inspecting plant equipment to ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- A proven track record within a plant workshop stores environment is desirable.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
- The ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
- Excellent customer care skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role or within a workshop environment is preferred.
- You must be proficient in using inventory management software or systems.
- An understanding of Microsoft software packages.
- Driving licence and counterbalance forklift licence desirable.
