Location: Brandon Gate, 1 Leechlee Road, Hamilton, ML3 0XB.

Hours: 35 hours per week

Work Pattern:

  • Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 1:30pm to 9pm, Wednesday 2pm to 9:30pm, Friday 8:45am to 4pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm
  • Week 2 - Tuesday 8:45am to 4:15pm, Wednesday and Thursday 1:30pm to 9pm, Friday 8:45am to 4pm

Salary: £41,698 - £43,505

South Lanarkshire Council are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated Technical Officer within Environmental Services who can accept and tackle demanding goals to ensure effective service delivery. Working as part of the Environmental Crime Team specialising in criminal enforcement of Fly Tipping Offences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking complex pieces of work specifically in relation to Environmental Crime (Fly Tipping Enforcement), Surveillance and Prosecutions. No specific qualification is required however enforcement of criminal legislation (ideally within this area and/or a related area) would be beneficial but not essential.

This is a temporary post for 2 years (from start date). You will require a driving licence, as all areas of the district will require to be visited.
