Location: Canberra Primary School, Belmont Drive, East Kilbride, G75 8HD

Hours: 30 hours per week on a term‑time basis

Work Pattern: Monday – Friday 8am – 2.30pm

Hourly Rate: £14.51 – £14.83 per hour

Post Length: Temporary until 31 December 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the catering service and supervise a team of Facilities Assistants.
  • Ensure high‑quality meal preparation and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Supervise and train a team of Facility Assistants (Catering), recruiting, selecting and ensuring attendance; brief the team.
  • Plan duties, work rotas and routine training to maximise attendance.
  • Maintain quality and stock control, advising management of any issues.
  • Perform financial duties including cash counting, balancing and recording of transactions (CDCH3).
  • Prepare, cook and present a varied menu of foods.
  • Manage function work and transfer food items across premises.
  • Carry out practical tasks related to food storage, preparation, cooking and service, including cleaning of floors, walls, production areas, equipment and utensils.
