Community and Enterprise Resources are seeking to appoint a Grounds Operative within our Grounds Services team based in Larkhall Golf Course.
The successful applicant will report to the head greenkeeper and be responsible for the overall maintenance of the golf course, ensuring that all areas are kept to the highest standards. This role involves executing maintenance schedules, and ensuring the course is in top condition year-round.
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Golf Course Operative to join our Grounds Maintenance Team at Larkhall Golf Course This is a part-time role (20 hours per week), ideal for someone with experience in grounds or outdoor work, or with an interest in greenkeeping.
You will play a key role in helping maintain the course to a high standard for players and visitors, supporting the day-to-day upkeep and seasonal work as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Cutting and maintaining greens, fairways, tees, and rough
- Raking bunkers, setting up flags and tee markers
- Assisting with irrigation and drainage work
- Operating mowers and other turf care machinery safely
- Keeping the course tidy and free of debris
- Supporting other members of the grounds team as required
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in outdoor, grounds maintenance, or landscaping work (desirable)
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends
- A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
- Understanding of health and safety practices
- Machinery experience or greenkeeping qualifications (preferred but not essential)
