Location & Hours

  • Location: Carluke High School, Carnwath Road, Carluke, ML8 4EA.
  • Hours: 15 hours per week (7.5 hours as supervisor and 7.5 hours as cleaner) on a term‑time basis.
  • Work Pattern: Monday – Thursday 4‑7pm and Friday 1‑4pm.
  • Hourly Rate: £13.33 per hour (cleaner) and £13.64‑£13.79 per hour (supervisor).

Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will carry out the cleaning function on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls, etc.
  • Monitor cleaning standards in line with specifications/COSHH regulations and report any issues to management.
  • Set up rooms for lets and act as the responsible person on site for reporting health and safety issues.
  • Supervise a team of Facility Assistants (Cleaning), including assisting with training, recruitment & selection, maximising attendance, team brief, etc.
  • Maintain security of the building and act as key holder as required.

  • If checks are not completed within a reasonable timescale, the candidate may be withdrawn from the position.

The check must be translated into English and include an official statement confirming no criminal record.
