Overview
Placement Supervisor, Unpaid Work Service, South Lanarkshire Council. Based at Auchentibber Resource Centre, Blantyre with travel to locations throughout South Lanarkshire (including Clydesdale) to supervise groups of service users undertaking unpaid work as part of Community Payback Orders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee groups of service users undertaking unpaid work placements in a variety of locations, monitoring work, conduct and compliance.
- Engage and motivate service users to undertake their Unpaid Work hours.
- Supervise completion of environmental projects (e.g., path clearance, fencing, tree planting, painting, gardening) to benefit the community.
- Work outdoors; basic manual and DIY skills and experience operating basic gardening machinery are desirable.
- Dependant on role, supervision of adults; training will be provided if prior experience is not essential.
Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors and undertake practical tasks in a community environment.
- Desirable: experience supervising adults; basic gardening machinery operation.
- Travel to various locations within South Lanarkshire; frequent movement with groups of service users.
- 2-week shift pattern with one of every two weekends; weekly hours total 29.83 hours.
