What we do: Provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for both North and South Lanarkshire council areas in respect of the compilation of the Valuation Rolls, Valuation (Council Tax) List and Register of Electors.
Our vision: To deliver quality in the work which we undertake, provide efficient services to all service users, and ensure completeness and accuracy of the Electoral Register, Valuation Rolls and the Valuation (Council Tax) Lists.
Who are we looking for: Principal Technician who under the guidance of the Divisional Technician will supervise a team of technical staff in compiling and maintaining the Council Tax Valuation List. You will be required to coordinate the team in all aspects of valuation for Council Tax purposes. You will have experience and knowledge in all aspects of valuation for Council Tax, including the production of case work for presentation at formal hearings. In addition, you will have advanced negotiation skills in this area of work. You will have a positive, professional attitude together with the ability to work under pressure while ensuring strict deadlines are achieved and the ability to work as part of a team, or individually. In addition, you will be required to drive to survey appointments and scheduled meetings. A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes, or the ability to drive a pool car for business purposes, is desirable for this role, but not required.
