Permanent post at Uddingston Grammar School. 35 hours per week, not term time, 52 weeks per year. Work pattern Monday‑Friday. Hourly rate £15.35‑£15.54 per hour. This role is for a School Support Assistant Team Leader and will lead an effective member of the support services team within a learning community, delivering a high‑quality service that supports pupils and staff and contributes to a positive school ethos.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day‑to‑day operation of the support services team.
  • Supervise and support staff.
  • Ensure effective communication across the school community and liaise with school management.
  • Deliver support to pupils and families and maintain a positive school environment.

Essential Attributes

  • Experience of working with children and/or young people in a formal setting.
  • Able to demonstrate proven IT skills.
  • Able to supervise and lead a team of staff.
  • Flexible and adaptable.

Requirements

  • Experience of care and welfare of young people in a childcare environment and optional supervisory experience.
  • Excellent ICT skills and ability to undertake a variety of tasks using a range of software applications.
  • Competent administrative skills and evidence of organisational experience.
