Location: Various

Hours: 3 x 32hrs per week, permanent

Work Pattern: work in accordance with rota, which includes shifts and weekends.

Salary / Hourly Rate: £26,128 - £26,512

The Care & Support Service is a supported living service which provides support to adults with a learning disability living in South Lanarkshire. The service currently supports adults living in Hamilton/Blantyre/East Kilbride/Carluke/Lanark, and successful candidates can be asked to work in any of these locations.

Candidates should have experience in supporting adults with a learning disability and have SVQ Level 2 in Care or be willing to work towards achieving this qualification. Candidates must be able to work in accordance with a rota which covers 365 days per year and includes evening and weekend work. An early shift can commence at 7am and a late shift can finish at 10.00pm.

Preferred candidates identified after the selection event process will be required to assist the recruitment team, if need be, to ensure timely completion of recruitment checks. If recruitment checks are not completed within a reasonable timescale, you may automatically be withdrawn from this position.

Canvassing of Elected Members or employees of South Lanarkshire's Council directly or indirectly in connection with any appointment within the Council shall disqualify the applicant.

Legislative Information: This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Scotland Act 2020. This post is considered a Regulated Role with Adults, in respect of the Disclosure Scotland Act 2020. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with Adults. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
