Salary / Hourly Rate: £23.14 - £23.65 per hour

The aim of Social Work Resources is to promote social welfare and provide effective care and support to meet the needs of vulnerable people in South Lanarkshire. In partnership with community planning partners, voluntary and independent provider organisations, we offer a range of services designed to enable, support, improve and protect the health and social care of people using our services.

The successful applicant will have experience in caring for older people within a residential setting. You will be responsible for managing and developing staff in accordance with all Council policy and procedures including performance appraisal, maximising attendance, supervision, induction etc. You will ensure that residents' needs are recorded in their personal plans and a risk assessment is completed. You will work in partnership with appropriate agencies and other Council departments and Resources on behalf of service users and contribute to a number of client focused meetings. You will have a responsibility for the administration of prescribed medication to service users, produce and present reports for reviews and ensure staff operate financial systems within the required procedures.

The successful candidates must have SVQ Level 3 or HNC and be working towards 2 units of SVQ Level 4. Hours to be worked in accordance with a roster including evenings and weekends. It is a requirement of this post that after taking up your appointment you progress and gain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months. Thereafter you must maintain your registered status.
