Location: East Kilbride Ice Rink, Olympia Shopping Centre, East Kilbride

Hours: 35 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am - 4:30pm (with a requirement to cover backshift, early mornings and weekend working to suit business needs)

Salary Band: £42,228 - £43,158 per annum

Job Profile: South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Operations Officer to join our Operations and Estates team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of East ensuring high standards of customer service and compliance with health and safety legislation.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage staff to deliver excellent customer experiences.
  • Oversee health and safety compliance and operational standards.
  • Programme activities and events to meet community needs.
  • Manage local budgets, control expenditure, and maximise income.
  • Act as Duty Manager and contribute to organisational projects (shift and weekend working will be required to support business needs).

  • Experience working within an Ice Rink environment.
  • Experience in a compliance environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and deliver results.
