South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join their team of Water Sport Instructors at James Hamilton Heritage Park.

Your duties will include:

  • Set up and de rig of water sport equipment
  • Working outdoors
  • Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment
  • Delivering water sport sessions to both children and adults

Previous experience of working in a similar environment is essential.

Due to the nature of the role, it is a requirement that you hold at least one of the following national governing body qualifications:

  • RYA Dinghy Sailing Instructor
  • RYA Senior Dinghy Sailing Instructor
  • RYA Start Windsurfing Instructor
  • RYA Senior Windsurfing Instructor
  • RYA Powerboat Instructor
  • Paddlesports Instructor
  • Paddlesports Leader

Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture.

Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable if you have lived or worked for 3 months or more (consecutively) abroad in the last 10 years.
