Job Description
Location: Hamilton Town House Library, Cadzow Street, Hamilton
Hours: 17.5 hours per week (average hours)
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 9am – 5pm (1 hour unpaid break)
Week 2: Thursday and Friday, 9am – 5pm (1 hour unpaid break)
Salary Band: £13.33 – £13.79 per hour
Duration: Fixed term until 31 March 2026
South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for a Library Assistant (Deliveries) to join their team. The successful candidate will drive a vehicle to deliver library materials to various sites across South Lanarkshire. The role involves driving safely, loading and unloading the vehicle, sorting deliveries en route, and physically delivering and uplifting boxes of materials as required.
Qualifications: Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence. If successful at interview, the preferred candidates will be required to demonstrate driving competency prior to the completion of the application process.
