Overview

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team of Lifeguards at South Lanarkshire Lifestyles – Lanark. You will be responsible to the Duty Officer for the daily operation of the Centre, undertaking a range of duties including pool supervision and cleaning.

Location: South Lanarkshire Lifestyles – Lanark, Thomas Taylor Avenue

Hours: 32.5 hours per week (3 week rota)

Shift Pattern:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday 6am – 2pm, Wednesday 6am – 3pm, Friday 2pm – 9.30pm

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday 6am – 2pm, Wednesday 6am – 1.30pm, Saturday, Sunday 8am – 6pm

Week 3: Monday, Tuesday 2pm – 9.30pm, Wednesday 3pm – 9.30pm

Salary Band: £13.64 – £13.79 per hour

Duration: Fixed Term until 31st March 2026

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of pool activities
  • To carry out cleaning to meet defined standards
  • To ensure facilities and equipment are safe and secure in accordance with procedures

Requirements

  • A current Pool Lifeguard qualification is essential, with a first aid certificate and previous experience being desirable.
