Overview

We are recruiting for a key member of our leadership team – Head of Strategy and Governance. The successful candidate will help us to share our vision and energy to deliver services in new and innovative ways.

We are looking for an innovative strategic leader who is able to foster relationships to bring the best results for South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture. The role is responsible for strategy and governance, ensuring resources are aligned appropriately to aid the smooth operation of the organisation.

We are looking for a candidate with outstanding people management skills and a proven ability to lead in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate will bring a demonstrable track record of success in a corporate or public sector setting, with experience spanning strategic planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, and service delivery. A strong understanding of how to align organisational resources to deliver high-quality, innovative services to diverse communities is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for planning, governance, and resource alignment to support service delivery.
  • Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, innovative services to diverse communities.
  • Lead in a dynamic, customer-focused environment and ensure governance and compliance.
  • Align organisational resources to support smooth operation and delivery of services.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience in strategic planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, and service delivery in a corporate or public sector setting.
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to lead in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
  • Proven ability to align resources to deliver high-quality, innovative services to diverse communities.
Job Details
  • Permanent: 35 hours per week
  • Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8.45am - 4.45pm, Friday 8.45am - 4.15pm
  • Salary: £65,148 - £77,959
