Work Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8.45am - 4.45pm, Friday 8.45am - 4.15pm

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinating the council’s Affordable Housing Supply Programme and Market Purchase Scheme
  • Maintaining the Strategic Housing Investment Plan and strategic direction of additional affordable housing supply across South Lanarkshire
  • Implementing an asset‑management based approach for the council’s housing stock to guide investment and contribute to achieving relevant housing quality and climate change targets
  • Facilitating the implementation of the South Lanarkshire Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy and associated housing projects

You will also be responsible for ensuring that strategies and policies are consistent with statutory and regulatory requirements, alongside ensuring the Resource has effective involvement in the development, review and implementation of corporate and partner priorities. You will have a comprehensive understanding of the strategic and policy context relating to housing and homelessness, as well as proven experience in enabling the delivery of complex development projects or programmes.
