The predicted salary is between 15.54 - 15.66 £ per hour.

Location: David Walker Gardens, Rutherglen.

Hours: between 18 and 30 hours per week, permanent.

Shift pattern: Combination of early shifts (7:15 am – 3:15 pm) and late shifts (2:15 pm – 10:15 pm) with weekend work, eight shifts over two weeks.

Salary / hourly rate: £15.54 – £15.66.

Responsibilities

  • Promote independence and support the practical needs of service users.
  • Work the shift pattern indicated above, including weekend duties.

Qualifications

Preferred credentials: SVQ in Social Care Level 2 or 3, or HNC in Social Care, or willingness to work towards these qualifications. Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or being in the registration process, with registration required within 6 months of starting work.

Other desirable attributes include flexibility, teamwork, and a patient, compassionate approach.

This role is excepted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Scotland Act 2020. It is also a regulated role with adults under the Disclosure Scotland Act 2020, and disclosure of a criminal record is required. Applicants barred from working with adults are not accepted. Preferred candidates will be required to join the Parental and Vulnerable Group (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update before a formal offer. Applicants born outside the UK or who have lived or worked abroad for a continuous period of three months in the past 10 years must provide an overseas criminal records check, translated into English if necessary.
