The aim of Social Work Resources is to promote social welfare and provide effective care and support to meet the needs of vulnerable people in South Lanarkshire. In partnership with community planning partners, voluntary and independent provider organisations, we offer a range of services designed to enable, support, improve and protect the health and social care of people using our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will construct a person-centred support plan, implement, review and evaluate its effectiveness for the service users for whom you have responsibility.
  • You will contribute to the assessment and review process and administer medicines as prescribed.
  • Shift and weekend working is essential.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in caring for older people, preferably within a residential setting and familiarity with all aspects of personal care.
  • Ability to construct a person-centred support plan.
  • Required: SVQ Level 3 in Social Care or a HNC, or willingness to work towards these qualifications.

Working Pattern & Salary

  • Location: Meldrum House
  • Hours: 19hrs per week, temporary for 6 months, 1 x 28.5hrs per week, permanent (?), Nights 10:00pm - 07:30am, 9.5hrs per shift, no unpaid break.
  • Salary: £20,467 - £21,051.

Overseas Criminal Records Check is required where applicants born outside the UK or who have lived or worked outside the UK for a continuous period of three months in the past 10 years. Applicants are responsible for providing evidence of the Overseas Criminal Record Check, translated into English, and including an official statement confirming no history or pending criminal record proceedings.
