Position Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our South Lanarkshire Justice Service management team. We are seeking to recruit a full‐time team leader for our Unpaid Work Service. The position will be for a temporary 12‐month period, with potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Manage a Justice Social Work team containing both qualified Social Work staff and paraprofessionals.
- Supervise staff, allocate work, provide quality control and improvement.
- Chair multi‐agency meetings.
- Contribute to continuous development and improvement of Justice Social Work services.
- Ensure effective delivery to national and local standards for the benefit of service users and the wider community.
- Manage a budget, analyse data and provide reports and feedback to senior managers.
Qualifications
- Experience of social work management or experience as a qualified social worker with interest in managerial roles.
- Experience or interest in leading and managing services, staff leadership and development.
- Ability to work well as part of a busy team supporting people in conflict with the law.
- Recent experience (within the last 12 months) of managing or having oversight of statutory Justice orders.
- Degree in Social Work (or relevant equivalent).
- Registered with the SSSC, current PVG and Disclosure checks completed.
