Community & Enterprise Resources are seeking skilled road operatives. You will have experience in a variety of road maintenance and construction tasks e.g. surfacing, patching, drain laying, resetting ironwork, kerb laying, slab and block paving and will be given the opportunity to be trained to SVQ level 2 in highway maintenance.

Locations: Canderside Dept, Larkhall, Hawbank Depot, East Kilbride, Carnwath Depot and Lesmahagow Depot.

Hours & Work Pattern: 37 hours per week. Work Pattern: Week 1: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:15pm, Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm. Week 2: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:15pm, Friday 8:00am - 1:00pm. Contractual obligations to fulfil standby duties.

Salary: £26,622 - £31,445 annual salary.

Responsibilities: All successful candidates will be required to participate in an all-year-round standby rota for which payment of overtime and standby will be made.

Qualifications & Requirements: A current full driving licence would be advantageous; in particular, applications received from holders of an HGV licence will be welcomed. Salary will depend on experience and qualifications. Overseas Criminal Records Check is required where applicants born outside the UK or who have lived or worked outside the UK for a continuous period of twelve months in the past 10 years. Applicants are responsible for providing evidence of the Overseas Criminal Record Check, translated into English by the appropriate authority.
