South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team at South Lanarkshire Lifestyles, Lanark as a Senior Recreation Assistant (Wetside).

Location & Hours

Location: South Lanarkshire Lifestyles, Lanark, Thomas Taylor Avenue, Lanark

Hours: 35 per week (3 week rota)

Shift Pattern

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday 6am-2pm; Wednesday 6am-3pm; Saturday, Sunday 8am-6pm
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 2pm-9:30pm
  • Week 3: Monday, Tuesday 1:30pm-9:30pm; Wednesday 3pm-8:30pm; Thursday, Friday 6am-2pm

Salary

Salary Band: £28,012 - £28,358

Duration

Temporary until 31st March 2027

Responsibilities

  • Supervise pool and dryside activities
  • Assist the Duty Officer in ensuring a safe environment for the public

Qualifications

  • Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
  • Pool Plant Operators Qualification and First Aid Certificate strongly desirable
  • Experience as a NPLQ training assessor desirable
