Position Summary

As a Support Officer you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of services to homeless households.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with clients in vulnerable or distressed situations, applying current issues and legislation related to protection of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Demonstrate practical knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Academy & Office Suite.
  • Organise and prioritise workload effectively, adapting to changing priorities to deliver a quality service.
  • Maintain excellent communication and liaise effectively with a variety of agencies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in a housing support service working with clients in vulnerable or distressed situations.
  • Understanding of current legislation regarding protection of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Experience with a reactive role managing one’s own caseload.

Employees working in the housing support sector will be required to undertake further training and/or qualifications, including those introduced by the Scottish Social Services Council.
