Within Education Resources we provide high‑quality learning and working environments, partnering with families and other services to support national priorities in literacy, numeracy, and health and wellbeing. This role supports pupils who need help beyond what their class teacher or early years key worker can provide, offering a flexible peripatetic posting across multiple schools.

Location & Hours

Based in Greenburn or Lanark, covering West Mains, Sanderson, Rutherglen HS and Victoria Park. Term‑time only, 27.5 or 28.5 hours per week for 39 weeks a year. Hourly rate: £13.80 – £14.83 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in‑class and out‑of‑class support for pupils with complex needs, including medical needs and personal care as outlined in Health Care Plans.
  • Administer medication and offer physical and emotional support for vulnerable pupils, including those who are non‑verbal or have needs related to ASD, attachment or communication.
  • Undertake relevant training (e.g. moving and assisting) as required.
  • Provide nurturing and calm support within the school environment.
  • Contribute to supervision in shared areas during intervals and lunchtimes, promoting independence and the school’s values.
