This is an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader in South Lanarkshire Roads, Transportation and Fleet services. The role is a temporary post for 2 years. The successful candidate will lead the Development Management Team, applying experience in road design standards, drainage, construction methods, transportation assessments and traffic modelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Development Management Team and support the wider roads team.
  • Apply knowledge and experience of road design standards, drainage, construction methods, transportation assessments and traffic modelling.
  • Assist with policy development and deliver legislative and technical aspects (e.g. Roads Construction Consent).
  • Work individually to meet specific deadlines and direction.
  • Commit to customer focus, service delivery and responsiveness, and to continuous improvement.
  • Travel throughout the Council area as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge in road design standards, drainage, construction methods, transportation assessments and traffic modelling.
  • Understanding of legislative and technical aspects related to Roads Construction Consent and ability to assist with policy development.
