South Lanarkshire Council are recruiting for an experienced Joiner to support the delivery of various works programmes within Building Services. You will have a flexible approach to managing varied workloads as you will be required to carry out all associated Joinery tasks including refurbishment and maintenance works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Time‑served with trade qualifications SVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in the appropriate trade discipline.
  • Demonstrate sound practical technical competencies in delivering high quality workmanship in all aspects of the trade.
  • Manage joinery tasks within commercial and domestic properties.
  • Apply knowledge of all types of Joinery works; experience working in Public Buildings and Schools is advantageous.
  • Commit to customer care principles, exhibiting excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Deliver work to targets and pre‑determined timescales.
  • Demonstrate awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
Qualifications & Experience
  • SVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds trade qualification.
  • Sound practical technical competence in joinery.
  • Experience in both commercial and domestic properties within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of joinery work in public buildings and schools is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer care skills.
  • Track record of delivering to targets and timescales.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations.
