Responsibilities
South Lanarkshire Council require an experienced Electrician to support the delivery of electrical works within Building Services. You will manage varied workloads and carry out all associated electrical works including new build, refurbishment, maintenance and a testing and inspection programme. You will be time-served with trade qualifications within your relevant discipline SVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds and demonstrate sound practical technical competencies in managing and delivering jobs. You should display experience within either commercial or domestic properties within the construction industry. For the testing and inspection programme you should be able to demonstrate practical technical competencies in carrying out testing / inspection to current regulations with suitable qualifications. Placement of advance electrician grade is dependent on meeting the criteria in the job profile and positions available. You should demonstrate a commitment to the principles of customer care, while displaying excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate previous experience of working to targets and pre-determined timescales along with an awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
