Transformation and Business Change Adviser – South Lanarkshire Council

Location: Council Headquarters, Hamilton

Hours: 35hrs per week, permanent

Work Pattern: Monday – Thursday 8:45am – 4:45pm, Friday 8:45am – 4:15pm

Salary: £54,783 – £59,911

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and skilled professional to support the delivery of transformation and business change across South Lanarkshire Council. The role will support services to redesign how they operate, embedding person‑centred, place‑based approaches aligned to the Neighbourhood Place approach. The council is piloting a new approach to service delivery based on the Marmot Principles, and the adviser will primarily support this work, while also translating strategic plans into practical service delivery models.

Key Duties Include:

  • Coordinating and supporting the delivery of transformation programmes across services
  • Leading service redesign and improvement activity using person‑centred approaches
  • Translating strategic objectives into clear plans, actions and service delivery
  • Supporting monitoring, reporting and governance arrangements for programmes
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to deliver change and share good practice

About You

You will demonstrate:

  • Experience of supporting organisational change or service improvement
  • Understanding of public sector transformation and Marmot approaches
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and deliver work to deadlines
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a focus on continuous improvement
