An exciting opportunity in South Lanarkshire Council’s Chief Executive’s Office within the Communications and Strategy service. We are recruiting a Graphic Design Officer.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement graphic design jobs using established processes and systems.
- Attend briefing meetings and process job requests.
- Engage with suppliers and collaborate with colleagues to meet deadlines.
- Support and develop the Council’s Communication and Strategy graphics design projects and functions.
- Protect the council’s reputation by applying council policies and coordinating workload and resources to meet required service deadlines.
- Utilise Adobe Creative Suite, animation software and understand social media formats and requirements.
- Demonstrate dynamic creativity, problem‑solving ability and flexibility in meeting Communications and Strategy requirements.
- Contribute to process and system developments as required.
Qualifications
- Excellent graphic design, communication, planning and organisational skills.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Adobe Creative Suite, animation software and knowledge of social media formats.
- Ability to protect the council’s reputation and apply council policies.
- Strong coordination and resource management skills to meet deadlines.
- Capacity to adapt and remain flexible in approach to Communications and Strategy requirements.
Location / Hours
- Location: Council Headquarters, Hamilton
- Hours: 35 hours per week, Permanent
- Work Pattern: Monday‑Thursday 8:45 am‑4:45 pm; Friday 8:45 am‑4:15 pm
Salary
£42,228 – £43,158 per year
