Location: St Kenneth's Primary School, South Lanarkshire.

Hours: 35 hours per week.

Salary: Depute Head Teacher 4, £71,820 per year. Salary is in line with Teachers’ Conditions of Service and may be recalculated to reflect pay accruals for the remainder of the school salary year.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Teacher in the overall management of the school as part of a Management Team.
  • Deputise for the Head Teacher in their absence, providing leadership, good management and strategic direction for the team.
  • Support the delivery of the curriculum and contribute to whole school initiatives.
  • Carry out the duties outlined in Annexe B of 'A Teaching Profession for the 21st Century'.

Qualifications:

  • Fully Qualified (GTC) Primary Teacher.
  • Legal requirement to be registered with the General Teaching Council (Scotland).
  • Approval from the Roman Catholic Church (section 21(2A) of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980).
  • Overseas Criminal Records Check required for applicants born outside the UK or who have lived outside the UK for a continuous period of three months in the past ten years.
