Location: Council Headquarter, Hamilton

Hours: 35hrs per week, fixed term for 12 months

Work Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8.45am - 4.45pm, Friday 8.45am - 4.15pm

Salary / Hourly Rate: £29,326 - £34,399

Finance and Corporate Resources are seeking an organised and proactive Personnel Assistant to join our busy Personnel Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their HR career within a fast-paced environment, providing essential administrative support across a range of personnel functions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of Personnel services, supporting managers and employees with day-to-day personnel matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR Business Managers/Personnel Advisers and Personnel Officers.
  • Develop, maintain and interrogate relevant information systems and produce standard and non-standard management reports in accordance with agreed timescales.
  • Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of personnel policies and procedures to ensure compliance with best practice.
  • Establish open and effective communication both verbal and written.
About You
  • Previous administrative experience in a busy office environment (HR experience desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
  • A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • A positive, flexible approach and willingness to learn
