South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer based within the Council’s Procurement Service, which manages the contract requirements of all Council resources with an annual spend of up to £400m. The Council adopts a dynamic approach to procurement, developing innovative sourcing strategies and focusing on delivering Best Value. Our expectations for this role reflect our status as a “F1” PCIP performance organisation.
You should have extensive procurement experience, with high technical knowledge of procurement regulations, and be qualified to at least CIPS Level 4. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, and committed to delivering Best Value for the Council. Supervisory experience, with the ability to lead projects and manage teams to achieve strategic procurement objectives, is preferable.
Placement within the band will depend on experience.
