Job Overview

The aim of Social Work Resources is to promote social welfare and provide effective care and support to meet the needs of vulnerable people in the area.

As a Community Support Co‑ordinator you will play a key role in the delivery of community services. You will manage care staff and the delivery of care services, overseeing a team of Home Carers, and will be responsible for managing and organising care for service users. Working as part of a locality team, you will assess service users’ needs in respect of care referrals and monitor and review care within agreed timescales. Excellent IT skills, dynamic and creative problem‑solving ability, and strong organisational and communication skills are essential.

Salary

£42,228 – £43,158 per annum

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Home Carers, ensuring effective service delivery.
  • Assess and review service users’ care needs, facilitating referrals.
  • Organise and supervise care provision, maintaining high quality, person‑centred care.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Develop staff and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to optimise outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Qualified to meet the SSSC Registration Requirements of the post.
  • Full SSSC registration must be obtained within 3 months of commencing the post.
  • Proof of qualifications must be provided in supporting documents.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a team within a care or support service.
  • Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.

Legal and Disclosure Requirements

This post is excepted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Scotland Act 2020 and is considered a regulated role with adults under the Disclosure Scotland Act 2020. Successful applicants must complete an overseas criminal records check if required, and comply with the PVG scheme requirements.
