- Week 1 β Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Day shift)
- Week 2 β Wednesday, Thursday (Day shift)
- Week 3 β Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Backshift)
- Week 4 β Wednesday, Thursday (Backshift)
Day shift is 6:30 am until 3:30 pm (weekdays β 7 am until 4 pm office-based). Backshift is 3 pm until 11 pm. When not in the office you will work from home.
Post Summary
We are looking for highly motivated individuals to work as part of a team who will provide a support service to Home Carers working to support vulnerable people living in the community council wide.
This includes scheduling and allocation of work.
A requirement to use IT, and you should have an interest and understanding of IT programmes.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the Organisation.
Additional increments for working unsocial hours will also apply.
South Lanarkshire Council will provide and fund all required training including induction and ongoing learning and development.

Responsibilities
- Provide support to Home Carers and schedule and allocate work.
- Use IT tools to manage scheduling and work allocation.
- Respond to telephone calls from individuals who may be experiencing difficulty or distress.
- Communicate with callers in a calm, professional, and supportive manner.
- Manage competing priorities and balance the needs of multiple people.
- Demonstrate organisational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Skills
- Administrative or scheduling experience.
- Experience working in a fast paced or customer-facing environment.
- Accuracy, organisation and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, ability to manage difficult situations.
- Good level of computer literacy, familiarity with scheduling systems, databases and Microsoft Office.
