Position Overview
Enhanced Senior Social Care Worker – Meldrum Gardens, East Kilbride.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and manage crisis situations such as accidents, incidents and emergencies related to care of service users.
- Staff and oversee shift rotas, manage workload priorities, and address emergencies.
- Conduct direct observations of employee performance, identify good practice and areas for improvement.
- Perform daily safe checks on monies held, reporting discrepancies in line with financial procedures.
- Record incidents and significant events in service user case records, ensuring key stakeholders are updated and included in care planning.
- Ensure Senior Social Care Workers produce audit reports for health and safety inspections and respond to external audits such as Environmental Health and Fire Safety.
- Develop action plans and make decisions to address safety issues, collate information, and recommend actions and expenditures to the Unit Manager.
- Support the Manager in achieving health and social care objectives.
- Respond to and manage complaints involving the general public, employees, service users, and other services.
- Provide employee support by maximizing attendance and promoting employee assistance programmes.
