Social Care Worker – South Lanarkshire Council
Location: McKillop Gardens, East Kilbride
Hours: 19 hrs per week, permanent
Work Pattern: 10:00 pm – 7:30 am
Salary / Hourly Rate: £20,467 – £21,051
Key Responsibilities
- Caring for older people in a residential setting; perform personal care activities.
- Construct, implement, review and evaluate person‑centred support plans for service users.
- Administer medicines as prescribed.
- Assist in assessment and review processes.
- Work shift and weekend shifts (including overnight).
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience caring for older people, preferably in a residential setting.
- Familiarity with all aspects of personal care and medication administration.
- Holding an SVQ Level 3 in Social Care or an HNC, or willingness to pursue these qualifications.
- Strong team working and interpersonal communication skills.
