Position Overview: Permanent part‑time role, 15 hours per week, hourly rate £13.33. Location: Various locations across South Lanarkshire: Hamilton, Blantyre, Lanark, Lesmahagow, Cambuslang, Rutherglen, Uddingston, Biggar, Carluke, Larkhall, Stonehouse, East Kilbride, Strathaven.
Shift Pattern: Catering: 8 am‑11 am or 11 am‑3.45 pm. Cleaning: 6 am‑9 am or 3 pm‑6 pm (Shifts may vary).
Responsibilities – Catering: You will prepare meals within recipe guidelines, undertake hygiene practices for storage, preparation, cooking and service of food, and clean food production areas, equipment and utensils.
Responsibilities – Cleaning: Carry out cleaning on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls and other relevant areas. Report to the Cleaning Supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements: Applicants currently employed with South Lanarkshire Council Facilities Services must not apply. Post is excepted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003. Regulated work with children and/or adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007; applicants barred from working with children and/or adults are disqualified. Applicants must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before a formal offer. Overseas criminal record checks are required for applicants born outside the UK or who have lived/worked outside the UK for a continuous period of at least 3 months in the last 10 years. Checks must be translated into English and include an official statement confirming no pending or existing criminal proceedings.
