Overview
COMM ENT 2250 G1 – Road Operative – Various Locations
Location: Carnwath / East Kilbride / Larkhall. Hours: 37 hours per week. Week pattern: Week 1, Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:15pm, Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm. Week 2, Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:15pm, Friday 8:00am – 1:00pm. Contractual obligations to fulfil standby duties. Salary: £25,715 – £30,384.

Responsibilities
Community & Enterprise Resources are seeking skilled road operatives. You will have experience in a variety of road maintenance and construction tasks such as surfacing, patching, drain laying, resetting ironwork, kerb laying, slab and block paving. You will be given the opportunity to be trained to SVQ level 2 in highway maintenance. All successful candidates will be required to participate in an all-year-round standby rota with overtime and standby payments.
Qualifications and eligibility
A current full driving licence would be advantageous. Applications from holders of HGV licences will be welcomed, with salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for periods living or working abroad. Please note that canvassing of Elected Members or employees of South Lanarkshire Council shall disqualify the applicant.
