Community and Enterprise resources are seeking to appoint an Assistant Venue Officer to join their team.
Main responsibilities include assisting the Facility Officer in promoting and developing Facilities Services, identifying expansion areas considering legislation and financial constraints, and supporting service projects. Provide advice and support to Facilities Assistants to ensure services meet organizational and legislative requirements.
Main Duties:
- Assist in managing venues within South Lanarkshire Council, including staff and resource management in accordance with policies and legislative requirements.
- Conduct catering, cleaning, and council officer audits to ensure compliance, verifying immediate actions, and reporting findings to the Facility Officer.
- Serve as Duty Manager at events, including occasional evening work.
- Plan and organize resources to meet operational goals.
- Assist in managing budgets and understanding financial systems, working under the principles of Best Value.
- Help manage South Lanarkshire Council’s Food Safety Management System across venues.
- Support Facilities Officer in applying Health & Safety policies to minimize workplace accidents.
- Assist in maximizing attendance policies, ensuring actions are taken and recorded.
