Overview

Exciting opportunities are available in the Hamilton, East Kilbride, and Cambuslang Children’s Services localities for Social Worker roles. Location: Hamilton, East Kilbride, Cambuslang
Hours: 35 or 17.5 hrs per week
Salary: £42,228 – £48,633 per annum

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, or another recognised Social Work qualification.
  • Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, legislation, and guidance.
  • Ability to assess and manage risk.

Checks

This post is excepted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003 and is considered regulated work with children and adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Applicants must not be barred from working with children or adults. Preferred candidates will join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before formal offer.

Applicants born outside the UK or who have lived or worked outside the UK for at least three months in the past ten years are required to provide an Overseas Criminal Records Check. The check must be translated into English and include an official statement confirming no pending criminal record proceedings.
