A position has arisen for Waste Services Operative Driver within Waste Services based in Forrest Street Depot, Blantyre. You will provide a quality front line Refuse Collection Service within the local community. You will have the ability to undertake a range of skilled refuse collection and recycling duties ensuring compliance with the Environmental Protection Act, Council Policies and Health and Safety Legislation.
Requirements
- You will be required to hold a current HGV licence and CPC card (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Previous experience of working in refuse collection, recycling and knowledge of health and safety requirements within cleansing would be advantageous.
- Provide detailed description of previous driving experience including rear steer refuse collection vehicles.
- Provide us with your knowledge of Health and Safety relating to this role.
Location and hours
- Location: Forrest Street Depot, 18 Forrest Street, Blantyre, G72 0JP
- Hours: 41.89 hours per week
- Work Pattern: Monday - Thursday 6am - 3pm and Friday 6:45am - 2.30pm

- Salary / Hourly Rate: £33,526 - £33,941 annual salary
